The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) has initiated strike action effective 7:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026. Three long-term care homes operated by MacLeod Cares, Roseway Manor Nursing Home, Surf Lodge Nursing Home, and Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home, are part of this initial phase of strike activity.
