MacLeod Cares, in partnership with Eastern College and Health Association of Nova Scotia, is delighted to introduce a full-time Integrated Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) Program for our Shelburne & Lockeport locations starting November 25th, 2024.
This exciting new program offers eligible students a comprehensive educational experience that includes a combination of on-the-job work experience and online learning plus a guaranteed job at either of our locations in Shelburne or Lockeport, Nova Scotia upon graduation. The details of this full-time program include:
- Free Tuition: The cost of your education is covered to help remove financial barriers and allowing you to focus on your studies.
- Paid Learning Time: Unlike similar work-and-learn programs, we compensate students for their classroom/online learning time at a rate of $18.73/hour.
- Paid Work Placements: As part of the program, you will participate in work placements at our Shelburne or Lockeport locations with competitive compensation, providing invaluable on-the-job learning as you work towards completing the program.
- Guaranteed Job After Graduation: Secure your new career with a guaranteed position at either Roseway Manor in Shelburne or Surf Lodge in Lockeport upon successful completion of the program.
