Support Services Manager

MacLeod Annapolis Royal Nursing Home is a 66-bed facility located in the Lequille area of the Historic town of Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. The Support Services Manager position provides leadership and direct oversight of the Support Services team including Dietary, Laundry, Housekeeping, and Maintenance Departments.

For this leadership role, we are seeking individuals who are committed to service excellence and providing quality person centered care.

As the Support Services Manager, you hold the primary accountability for the daily operational management of the support services team. You will manage a team of highly skilled and diverse professionals who together, provide exceptional and compassionate care for our residents by ensuring the building is safe and clean. Within MacLeod Group Health Services Limited (MGHSL), you can expect to receive mentorship, training, and opportunities for professional growth. We are looking for:
• A person with a diploma in Food Services related field or equivalent
• Experience working with a budget and managing inventory
• 5 years’ experience in support services department or acceptable equivalent
• Effective communication skills allowing you to manage individuals from various cultures through a compassionate and inviting manor
• A person with demonstrated time management and organizational skills
• A sincere desire to work with the elderly, driven by excellence
• Commitment to Occupational Health & Safety standards and best practices in the workplace
• Ability to obtain a clean vulnerable sector check / criminal record check
