We would like to send a big shout-out and lots of birthday wishes to Emma, or ‘Mae’ as she’s known at our Annapolis Royal location. As of today, October 18th, 2023, Mae is MacLeod Cares’ oldest resident at 106 years.

Born in 1917 in Yarmouth County, Mae is one of 14 children. She had 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mae worked as a housekeeper at the Marshalls Hotel before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She enjoys bingo and chatting with her tablemates.
