MacLeod Cares Riverside Court Retirement Living

MacLeod Cares Riverside Court is a leading provider of seniors’ accommodations, care, and services on a beautiful 16.5-acre site overlooking the Saint John River in Woodstock, New Brunswick. As a MacLeod Cares facility, we offer a mix of Independent Living, Retirement Living, Memory Care, and Special Care services throughout our 95 unit facility that includes a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. As part of this, our brand new memory care unit includes 18 private rooms in a safe and welcoming environment with 24/7 assistance by a Registered Nurse. Our dedicated team works in partnership with residents, family members, caregivers and health care providers to ensure our residents receive optimal support. Temporary or Winter Stays are also available.

Health & Wellness

Living in a MacLeod Cares residence means you can rest easy knowing you have full access to medical services in the community with our handy shuttle service to get you there and back. We also offer comprehensive in-house services including dietary consultations.

Dining & Nutrition

Sit back and relax with your friends and neighbours in our elegant full-service dining room as we serve you delicious home-style meals. Dining guests are welcome for a nominal cost. We will work with you to accommodate your special dietary needs, such as diabetic, heart-healthy and gluten-free.

Comfort & Security

You’ll feel comfortable, safe and secure in a MacLeod Cares home. Our facilities are warm and welcoming in every way. From pictures of the grandkids to your favourite keepsakes, we encourage you to decorate your room with furniture and items from home. Our caring and professional staff are available 24/7 to attend to your needs and our facility features secured entryways, an elevator, ramps and extra-wide hallways with handrails.

Activities & Amenities

From daily activities to seasonal and holiday celebrations, there is always something to do at MacLeod Cares. Our recreation team plans various social programs and group activities each month that include musical concerts and local entertainment, storytelling, crafts, and more. Exercise programs are part of our daily schedule and we offer a fabulous selection of movies, puzzles and board games. We also ensure our residents have access to local services for shopping, medical, dental, pharmacy, banking, postal service, churches and government offices. Pastoral care services are also available.

Care Services Offered at this Location

Memory Care

Memory Care at MacLeod Cares is our specialized form of long-term care designed to meet the unique needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other memory impairments. Residents of our Memory Care unit will enjoy a safe and structured environment with 24-hour supervision by a Registered Nurse. Memory Care is best suited for those experiencing significant memory loss, confusion, and who have difficulty with daily activities.

Retirement Living

Retirement Living at MacLeod Cares is designed for those making a lifestyle choice to move into their own private suite within a socially-active and independent community. As the “entry-level” into facility-based services for seniors, our Retirement Living suites allow residents to continue to live independently with the option to access support services including meals, housekeeping and laundry. Also referred to as Independent Living in some provinces, this “Level 1” care is not always eligible for government subsidization.

Assisted Living

Assisted Living at MacLeod Cares is designed for those who are still able to live somewhat independently provided they have ongoing support for daily tasks such as meals and housekeeping; as well as assistance with grooming, hygiene and medication administration. Assisted Living residents live in their own government-subsidized suite within our facility and receive 24-hr supervision by our care team. It’s the recommended option for those who can no longer safely live alone or with family/home care support. Community Care, Residential Care and Special Care are all examples of this “Level 2” care option.
