Licensed Practical Nurse

This is a 68-hour biweekly position.

$28.32 – $31.48 hourly.

MacLeod Cares Surf Lodge Nursing Home is a 36-bed long-term care home located in Lockeport, Nova Scotia, overlooking Back Harbour. We are proud to provide compassionate, person-centered care in a close-knit community environment where Residents feel at home.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide holistic Resident-centered care that supports the physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological well-being of those in our community. Working within your scope of practice, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to ensure Residents receive safe, high-quality nursing care.

In this leadership role, you will provide clinical guidance and supervision to Continuing Care Assistants, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of excellence within the Home.

Qualifications:

  • Valid LPN Certification in Nova Scotia, including pharmacology, health assessment, and medication administration
  • Certification in Safe Resident Handling
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to supervise and support care staff
  • Strong clinical judgement, assessment, and documentation skills
  • A clear vulnerable sector and criminal record check
